Courtney Horwitz Served as Co-Chair of the 57th FAC Annual Benefit

This May, Strada’s Founder and Principal, Courtney Horwitz, served as co-chair of the 57th Fifth Avenue Committee (FAC) Annual Benefit and Awards Reception alongside Sam Marks, CEO of FJC. Thanks to the leadership of the Host Committee, together with FAC’s sponsors and staff, FAC surpassed its 2026 fundraising goal. These resources directly power FAC’s programs as the organization fights for economic, social, and racial justice across New York City.

The evening kicked off with Courtney and Sam describing FAC’s impact on the community. Courtney shared a moving personal reflection on FAC’s visible impact through the development of affordable housing in the neighborhood, noting how often she passes FAC’s work in her everyday life:

“I’ve seen the tremendous impact that they have. I saw it when I was walking to my home office in the middle of the day, and I passed the beautiful, recently completed shelter-to-permanent-housing project on Park Place in Brooklyn. I also saw it on Saturday when I was taking my son to a birthday party and passed the Sunset Park Library.”
