Strada is Excited to Welcome New Team Members

Strada Ventures LLC is thrilled to announce the hiring of nine new employees during the past nine months.  Dara Yaskil joined Strada as a Director in June 2025 to lead Strada’s Asset Management division.  Previously, Dara served as the Executive Director of Multifamily Stabilization Programs in the Division of Preservation Finance at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). In that role, she oversaw a team that closed more than 25,000 units of affordable housing transactions and advanced major mayoral initiatives to improve energy efficiency, expand financial and technical assistance for small building owners, and reduce rising operating costs across the affordable housing sector.

Abaye Steinmetz-Silber joined Strada as a Senior Project Manager in Strada’s Asset Management division in November 2025. Abaye comes to Strada from Fifth Avenue Committee (FAC), where he worked in the Affordable Housing Development department. Abaye directly managed over $200M of new deeply affordable housing in all stages of development, with an emphasis on construction period management and project closeout.

Alie Glaser joined Strada as a Deputy Director in February 2026.  Alie comes to Strada from the New York City Housing Development Corporation (NYC HDC), where she served as an Assistant Vice President of Development. In that role, she underwrote and structured financing for complex new construction, preservation, and NYCHA PACT projects across the five boroughs, including Linden Plaza, the largest remaining Mitchell-Lama rental complex in Brooklyn.

Ben Schwartz is currently an Intern at Strada, but we are pleased that he will join Strada full-time as an Assistant Project Manager in May 2026. Ben is currently a Master’s in Urban Planning candidate at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, & Preservation (GSAPP). Previously, Ben worked with Pembrook Capital Management, an affordable housing investor, on underwriting potential deals and providing asset management support for their portfolio. He also served as an Americorps VISTA at the Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA) in the Office of Workforce Development, where he worked as a data analyst and managed free college savings accounts for Boston Public School students.

Betsy Hu joined Strada as an Assistant Project Manager in April 2026. Betsy comes to Strada from New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYC EDC), where she served as a Program Manager working on the NYC Waterfront Capacity Building Program. In that role, she drove a 30% increase in Minority and Women Business Enterprise participation across waterfront and climate adaptation initiatives.

Walter Goldberg joined Strada as an Assistant Project Manager in April 2026. Walter recently received his Master’s in Anthropocene Studies from the University of Cambridge. He also previously served as a Bus Rapid Transit Planning Consultant for People-Oriented Cities and supported an early-stage real estate start-up in Barcelona, Spain by conducting policy research on EU Green Deal building regulations and requirements for the renovation of existing buildings.

Susue Li joined Strada as a Project Manager in April 2026. Previously, Susue served as a Project Manager at the non-profit organization RiseBoro Community Partnership, where she facilitated affordable housing transactions totaling over 1000 units and managed the conversion of a multi-building scattered-site tenant-in-place rehab project.

David Ross joined Strada’s Asset Management division as an Assistant Project Manager in April 2026. David comes from a film and television background, having worked as a camera department coordinator for over 12 years. In that role, he served as the primary liaison between departments and oversaw the acquisition, delivery, and storage of critical media assets.

Max Jean-Louis joined Strada’s Asset Management division as an Assistant Project Manager in April 2026. Previously, Max worked as a Case Manager in Brooklyn, providing comprehensive case management services to a diverse clientele to connect them to health care, social services, and benefits.
